"I was impressed with how orderly and efficient everything was. The public transit system was clean and consistently on time. I was able to navigate taking public transit even though I do not speak any Japanese. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. From our tour guides who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was successful and even any other people we encountered."

私は日本の全てが規則正しく、効率が良いことに感銘を受けました。日本の公共交通機関はとてもきれいでしたし、必ず時間通りに到着していました。私は一切日本語を話すことが出来ませんが、こういった交通機関を利用して目的地までたどり着くことが出来ました。日本の皆さんはとても親切なことにも驚きました。私たちの遠征がうまくいくように助けてくれたツアーガイドの人たちをはじめ、日本で関わったすべての人たちが親切でした。（ラグビー部HC談）

I really enjoyed the trip. Japan is a wonderful place to visit. Our tour guides did a great job helping us navigate the country. (Head Coach)

私はこの遠征をとても楽しむことが出来ました。日本はとてもいい場所です。添乗員の方々が行く先々への案内をしてくれました。（ヘッドコーチ）


The trip was exciting and filled with new experiences like taking the train and using a new currency. (Player#1)

What were your expectations of Japan before the trip?（日本に来る前は日本にどのようなイメージを持っていましたか？）

I did not know much about Japan prior to visiting. I had heard the people are very friendly and it is very clean. (Head Coach)

この遠征で訪れるまで、私は日本のことはあまりわかりませんでした。日本の人たちはとてもフレンドリーで町全体がきれいだと聞いたことがありました。（ヘッドコーチ）


I was scared to go to Japan just because I knew it would be a lot different than what I am accustomed too. I knew it was going to be very clean and beautiful. (Player#3)

普段のアメリカでの生活とは大きく違うことだけは分かっていたので、日本に行くことが怖かったです。ただ日本はとてもきれいで美しい国だということは知っていました。（選手3）


I didn't know much about Japan prior to the trip so I went in blind, but the cultural aspect of the trip was very interesting. Definitely different from the American culture. (Player#6)

この遠征で来るまでは日本の事はほとんど知りませんでした。遠征中に感じることが出来た日本の文化はとても興味深かったです。アメリカの文化とは大きく違うと感じました。（選手6）

What was the most impressive thing for you in Japan?（日本で一番印象深かったことは何ですか？）

I think the most impressive things about Japan were how well things were maintained and how hospitable the people were. (Player#4)

一番印象深かったことは、物が良く手入れされているということと、日本の人たちのホスピタリティーです。（選手4）


The most impressive thing for me was the acceptance / empathy I received while I was there. All I could do was compare the people to Americans that work similar jobs and how unwelcoming people in the states can be. (Player#5)

私にとって一番印象深かったことは、日本にいる間に私が感じた日本人の受け入れて下さる心です。アメリカ人のと比べると、アメリカ人がいかにおもてなしの心が無いかがわかります。（選手5）

What were the biggest differences between Japan and the US?（日本とアメリカで一番の違いは何ですか？）

The general pace and demeanor of people was really refreshing. People seem to have a high consideration and respect for those around them. The US can be very rushed and lacking in respect for others. The food was also different and it was very good. (Head Coach)

日本人の方々のなペースと態度は本当に新鮮でした。日本人の方々は周囲の人々に対して、高い配慮と敬意を持っているように感じました。アメリカ人は非常に急いでおり、他人への敬意に欠けていることがあります。日本の食べ物もアメリカの食べ物とは違い、とても美味しかったです。（ヘッドコーチ）


The biggest difference was definitely the language; it was very difficult not being able to communicate well with the people I met. (Players#1)

一番の違いは言語です。私が日本で会った方々とコミュニケーションを取れないことはとても大変でした。（選手1）


Japanese people are kind by nature and rarely get aggressive compared to Americans. Once we got back to the States everyone was loud and only cared about what they were doing and how it affected them. (Player#2)

日本の方々はアメリカ人と比べると、めったに攻撃的になることがなく優しいと感じました。アメリカに戻ってからは、アメリカ人がとてもうるさく自分の事しか気にしていないことがわかりました。（選手2）

Would you recommend others to visit Japan?（他の方達に日本遠征をおすすめしますか？）
